Drop in estrogen: After the LH surge (hormonal trigger for ovulation) there is a natural decrease in the estrogen level.  This can slightly destabilize the uterine lining leading to spotting.  It should resolve quickly.  If it recurs monthly then I would recommend you have an evaluation of your uterine cavity for polyps or fibroids.  Also consider a thin uterine lining especially if you are taking Clomid/Clomiphene
