Possible diagnosis: There are several possible causes to chronic right lower abdominal pain. Appendicitis and other bowel problems make you very sick, very fast so they get looked into first. Fever, vomiting and worsening pain needs more urgent evaluation. Otherwise, an outpatient visit with your doc to look for hernias, kidney stones, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, spinal disorders is okay. Good luck and be well.

: Umbilical hernia is the first thing that comes to mind. Only a few of these that are &gt; 5-6 cm wide are considered large enough to fix surgically. This is a very simple procedure to close the gap between the rectus  abdominis muscles on each side of your mid-abdomen

You might have, but: Pain near belly-button (umbilicus) may originate locally due to infection or herniation, or be "referred" from another abdominal location like the appendix. Signs/symptoms of concern include: local redness &amp; drainage, umbilical bulging that can't be reduced with gentle pressure, fever, vomiting, change in bowels, generalized abdominal tenderness (suggests peritonitis), worsening pain.

You mom must have: A reason not to take you to er , may be you have several similar episodes, already have work up , in canada almost every one has health coverage  , ask your mom again , if you still have pain to to nearest er , they will call her and get permission to treat you as you are a minor

Laparoscopic cholecy: stectomy is performed thru the belly button. Let the surgeon know that you may have a post-op problem.
