left temple pressure/pain for 3 days. not affecting vision but feel a bit foggy brained. tender to touch, can't lay on that side on pillow. ringing in ears. what could it be?

: Sounds like some form of Migraine. Pain, especially - in the head - tends to make people "foggy brained"! A visit with the Neurologist/ headache Expert is appropriate at this time.

had facial nerve decompression surgery almost 17 years ago i have pain/tenderness even hurts to lay my head on a pillow at times. maybe a couple times per year with no apparent reason for it. hip replacement coming, will i have similar pains?

i have excessive crackling in neck. my neck is always sore. feels like my head is to heavy for my neck. i watch tv i have to rest my head on a pillow?

Probable arthritis: Sounds like arthritis of the neck (cervical spine). See a spine specialist hopefully will respond to nsaids and physical therapy.

i have been waking up with a sore neck or more back of my head on my left side for the past 5 days. the feeling then subsides as the day progresses,and i feel it again the next morning when waking. is it just my pillow that's the cause?

Probably not : It probably has to do with posture during the day, repetitive movements, etc. Of course not using the right pillow may not help, but it is likely that some of the activities during the day are causing neck strain as well. Talk to your doc about your symptoms and monitor your activities during the day.

what does it mean if you wake up with your right side of your head all sore? ive had normal mri's and cat scans,i sleep on my back and use a ledge pillow, did i sleep on it wrong? im 60.or is something else going on, dont have sinus issues either?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. If the soreness has  resolved and your do not have any other symptoms, you may watch and wait. If you have other symptoms it would be prudent to see a doctor.

i have a really bad head temp sore throat nausea and my body is hurting can't get my head of the pillow as it hurts too much?

Dr. can evaluate: Throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (Tamiflu (oseltamivir) may be used for influenza), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. A person might see a doctor if the sore throat is very painful or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep throat and influenza).  Influenza (the flu) can cause a big headache, which the Dr. can check.

i had cholesteama and it was removed about four weeks ago. today i noticed tenderness and swelling above the same ear. its after hours and the weeken?

?infection: If there is also redness and burning sensation with the swelling and tenderness, cellulitis would be suspected and this requires systemic antibiotic treatment. You should be seen in the hospital emergency room at this time where prompt evaluation and treatment is available.

Do not go to Hosp: No. Absolutely not. Why would you go to an emergency center for a primary care simple problem?  Please go see your family doctor. It is faster, less expensive and helps you maintain this very important relationship.

Contact a Physician: My recommendation is for you to contact your  primary care physician, as he/she will be able to evaluate this more thoroughly, as your symptoms may be due to many potential causes. These may include, but are not limited to, an ear infection, temporomandibular joint disorder, temporal arteritis, and others. Therefore, thorough evaluation is needed by a  physician.
