Phytoestrogens: Fibroids are a result of high estrogen levels.  High estrogen can be caused by excessive carbohydrate intake  (via competetive inhibition of glucoronidase enzyme) therefore a low carb diet is beneficial to reduce estrogen and help shrink fibroids. You may also have low iodine, thyroid problems, low progesterone. All of these things should be evaluated. All phytoestrogens should be avoided.

Theoretically: Fibroids are estrogen dependent and grow in response to estrogens. It may be possible that phytoestrogens would stimulate growth in fibroids, although i'm unaware of any scientific evidence proving this one way or the other. Birth control pills containing estrogen are used to control bleeding from fibroids, but may actually stimulate them to grow faster, given the strength of these estrogens.

Phytoestrogens: Unlikely,  phytoestrogens are very weak forms of estrogen and typically have to be consumed in very large quantities to have any effect on menopausal or premenstrual symptoms.

Ultrasound &/or exam: Ultrasound can determine if there are fibroids, so can a pelvic exam in many cases. A better question is: why is this an issue? Some studies show that by a certain age most women have fibroids. So having a fibroid is common. Are they causing problems of bleeding, pain, size or pressure? Those questions are important when deciding if treatment is needed.
