Repeat PG test: Repeat the pregnancy test to re-check if it is negative or not. Sometimes, in very early pregnancies, the tests are falsely negative.

Could be pregnant: It might be too early to get an accurate reading from OTC preg test. You should know that before he ejaculates a very small amt of semen leaks out. "Pulling out" is a very poor way to prevent pregnancy and not very enjoyable for you or him to climax. Repeat preg test. If neg wait another week &amp; repeat.

Trust the test : A pregnancy test would be accurate by now so you can trust the result. 
Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections &  hormonal changes can cause spotting.    There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

Anovulatory cycles: during which an egg is not released, are common and can cause menstrual irregularity or a missed period.  Anovulatory cycles are especially common in young women, and 1-2 anovulatory cycles/year is considered normal.  Urine pregnancy tests are very reliable and there is not much to be gained by a blood pregnancy test except expense.

: If you are pregnant with the last sexual encounter, the fetus should be at least 3 weeks as of 4/16 so a high sensitive urine pregnancy test should be positive. Besides that you are also taking minipill and breast soreness is hardly a symptom of pregnancy at this time. I think your cycle is irregular this month but you can do a blood test to rule out pregnancy.

Pregnancy is not the: Only reason for a late or missed period.  Options include low body weight, obesity, marked weight ^ or v, over-exercise, endurance athletics, breast-feeding, ^ stress, illness, eating disorders (bulimia or anorexia), anovulatory cycle (no egg released), travel, hormone irregularities, drug use, meds (i.e., birth control) or medical problems. #1 reason is pregnancy.

Sadly, not pregnant: The home tests are just as accurate as our tests in the office when taken after missing your period - maybe even a few days before.  There are many reasons for late/missed periods, including stress, which can certainly be caused by trying to conceive.  You will get through this.  As much as possible, manage that stress, keep trying, use ovulation predictors &amp; see a doc if it’s over a year trying
