Okay for now: I'm not worried about your period being lighter/shorter.  Your AMH and follicle count are what matter when it comes to your egg reserve.  AMH of 1.86 is good but not great.  If you're going to continue to delay childbearing then I would repeat the AMH level in one year.  AMH of 1 or less is worrisome.  If 1 or less then you should start actively trying to conceive.

Unfortunately....: This is not possible naturally with the exception of becoming pregnant.  Hormonal therapy a la birth control pills can be very effective in controlling this problem.

Yes: You could be pregnant and the test has not had sufficient time in which to become positive.  But many other things could be responsible for your symptoms.  If they keep up and you are retested negatively, go see an ob/gyn.

The big question is.: Are you sexually active active?  If you are sexually active and not using protection any change in the pattern of your period could mean you might be pregnant.  If no protection  you could also get other things besides pregnant! (STD's).  If you have not had intercourse, and you have no other complaints, Phew! it is probably no big deal.  Periods can change from month to month. See doc tho!

Cycle variation: What you experience may just represent normal variation of the strength and length of your cycle, it's just that it hasn't happened to you before. There could be a permanent change in your cycle pattern going on, too. But if this is all there is, no reason to worry.

Possible: If your period was abnormal and you have been having unprotected intercourse, pregnancy is a possibility. To know for sure, do a pregnancy test and repeat it in 3-5 days if it is negative. If it is still negative, pregnancy is not the cause of your breast changes and it is unlikely that breast cancer would cause bilateral changes. Hope this helps.

Unlikely: You may do a home pregnancy test and if it is negative repeat it in 7-10 days. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully. Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.

Light period: The main reason for light periods is change in hormone levels. Causes for what seems to be a light period can include: thyroid problems, eating disorders, excessive exercise, initial periods for a girl, use of an intrauterine device, oral contraceptives, perimenopause ; implantation bleeding in early pregnancy which rarely occurs.

does the plan b pill supposed to cause your period to be lighter and shorter?

Expected disruption: Anyone having intercourse without birth control or condoms may get pregnant. If intercourse was within 72 hours you consider taking plan b. Ella (ulipristal acetate) is another brand that can be used up to 5 days after unprotected intercourse. Plan b is a high dose of birth control to disrupt the hormonal patterns to delay or prevent ovulation. Abnormal bleeding after is common. Check  preg test in 10 days.
