Residual blood: Some months the endometrial lining sheds irregularly and you can have spotting before or after the actual period.  No worries unless you are having pelvic pain and/or fevers.

periods irregular and no idea when ovulated. sex 2 weeks ago, was 3 days after period end. now dark spotting 5 days. could be implantation bleeding?

Can't tell yet: You won't be able to tell if you are pregnant for another two or three weeks. For now i would be careful about any alcohol or drug exposure that might affect an early pregnancy.

im on birth control and im spotting i took a new pack and started it before i ended my period now im spotting can that b the problem to why its happen?

Possibly, yes.  If: ..your normal period was interrupted when you started the next pack, some of the menstrual lining which should have been shed during your period may be now causing spotting.  In general, it's best to take your pills exactly as directed.  If you do so but continue to have spotting, I suggest you make an appt. w/  your GYN doctor.  You may need to be switched to a "stronger" pill.  Dr. Anne.

Irregular menses: The main reason for light periods is a change in hormone levels. Causes for what seems to be a light period can include: implantation bleeding in early pregnancy, thyroid problems, eating disorders, excessive exercise, initial periods for a girl, use of an intrauterine device, oral contraceptives &amp; perimenopause.

i got my period on friday bled lightly for 24 hours and then stopped for 48 hours now spotting lightly, sometimes my husband and i don't use a condom.

Menses irregular: There are numerous reasons for mild irregularities in menstrual flow. If this persist the best thing to do is to see a GYN and be examined.

Fertility ?'s: At 41, pregnancy is more difficult to achieve. To provide the best chance, ask your OB physician about a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) which can ensure your tubes are open.  Also you may need a consult from a fertility specialist if the HSG is normal.

Should be ok: Missing one pill and cutting short your month one day should not be a problem. May take a month or two to get back to "normal" for you. If concerned call your gyn doc and ask about the situation.
