Sounds normal : It sounds like you are still having regular cyclic monthly periods. This would be normal. Spotting  just means old blood. It turns brown when it has been sitting at the back of the vagina. Birth control would help regulate your cycles but if you are trying to conceive you may want to hold off for now.

stress, busy and hectic lifestyle, it may be old blood which may be brown, infections can cause it too, deeper penetration during sex, polyps of uterus or cervix and irregular periods are the causes.It may be nothing serious but have it checked.

I presume you are not pregnant and not on contraceptives; check a pregnancy test if this is possible.The bleeding is likely caused by some unexpected variations in your body's hormones as well as stress, illness, sleep disruption, etc. Your doctor can work with you to regulate, usually with oral contraceptives.

YES: it takes several months to "normalize" after you stop the pill (and , in fact, many women NEVER have the same "kind" of menstruation after the pill for an extended time!

: Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
