Need more info: its not clear to me, but it sounds like you may have an elective surgery upcoming.  If so, with your symptoms, you should let your surgeon know so that pre-emptive decisions can be made to make sure you are not placed at any undue risk.

Surgery?: Are you talking about cholecystectomy (gallbladder surgery), I am assuming this is the case because usually it is followed by post-cholecystectomy syndrome, taking such medications for acidity indicates there is something serious needs to be taking care of with possibility of gastric ulcer.

Prevacid, (lansoprazole) Prelosec.: Have very small meals. Watch what you eat. You can take Prevacid (lansoprazole) or prelosec otc as needed.

i took pepto bismol (bismuth subsalicylate) 4 doses 15 mls without shaking it 1 st. can this be harmful.i am having surgery for blood vessel removal on my gum on tues.

No: Pepto doesn't really get absorbed into system. It will likely make some if u'r stool look dark though so don't be alarmed. Good luck with surgery!

i had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy done 6 days ago due to my gallbladder functioning at 0% (no gallstones). each day since the surgery, my nausea has gotten worse despite the use of zofran, pepto bismol, etc. is this normal?

my daughter had surgery when she was born she is now 5 to have her stomach twisted can this be reversed she has a stomach virus now and is not able to throw up her stomach is hurting could this be the reason. i have given her pepto bismol

If : If your child has had prior abdominal surgery, and now has pain, then it would be reasonable to discuss her symptoms with your pediatrician.  They would want to follow her closely given her past medical history, especially if she has pain, vomiting, fever, or other complaints.

Yes: It is OK to take pepto and immodium together. The immodium if taken first, might slow down the transit of pepto throughout your system. If the cause of your symptoms are related to diarrhea, it might be a good idea to stay hydrated, and let it flush through the system, if it persists see your doctor.

I avoid it: The adult pepto contains salicylates that should be avoided by children under 16. There are modified kid preparations but i still avoid them.
