No: Though pretty good for your lips, it won't keep cold sores away. Cold sores erupt in response to physical, thermal and/or emotional stress and in response to illness and changes in medications. If they occur frequently, you can get rx for Valtrex (valacyclovir) for use on a preventive/prophylactic regimen. Best to stay healthy (diet and exercise), wear sunscreen (don't forget lips) and get plenty of sleep.

grapefruit oil, cedar wood oil, and peppermint oil. no concentrations are given. they are not the first ingredients listed.

Yes: Based on the information provided, fetal harm is unlikely, as long as the temperature is not too hot. There is a small risk of fainting from the vasodilatory effect of a hot bath which could cause drowning. Also, some people could be allergic to some of the ingredients themselves. Dipping your toes in the bath for a few minutes to ensure no allergic reaction may help eliminate this concern.

: I would say all those ingredients are safe during pregnancy but talking to your OB doctor for advice is still recommended.

Yes: Topical peppermint oil to the back may relax the muscles and ease sciatic pain. Warm soaks in epsom salts can be helpful as well. 
Consider a prenatal massage if it persists.

Yes.: Peppermint oil has traditionally been used to calm a queasy stomach, help with nausea, and ease gas.  It is not toxic.

Peppermint oil: Ingestion of too much peppermint oil can cause nausea/ vomiting, abdominal pain, v heart rate, respiratory problems, dizziness, seizures or loss of consciousness.

Generally Safe: Probably safe in the short term (less than 8 weeks). Heartburn, allergic reactions, flushing, headache and mouth sores are most common.  Since peppermint is processed in the liver, check with your physician to make sure that there are no interactions with other medications you are taking that are also processed along similar pathways in the liver.

No: Take as needed. It has helped you. You can get off and see when symptoms return and take as needed. You would know if you have to do it on long term basis
