None!: A uti, or urinary tract infection, is an infection involving the bladder (mostly) and the urethra or kidneys (less often). It can cause burning and pain with urination, urinary frequency and urgency. The penis should not become swollen with a simple uti. Penile swelling could be due to skin infections, trauma, or edema (fluid build up in the body).

Erection : Are you talking about the erection or size of the penis in width. Are you taking any medications that could cause sustained erections or a medical problem ie sickle cell anemia. Check it out.

Time: The most common trigger to swelling of a flaccid penis would be a reaction to a bug bite or similar allergic response. The swelling is due to a leak of body fluid from deep capillaries into the tissue. Once this fluid accumulates, it can take days for the fluid to be retrieved by lymph channels and the swelling to dissipate. The steroid can stop the reaction, but resolution takes time.

Get seen: Your spouse needs to be seen and checked for infection.  This could be normal but i suspect not.  Call the doctor in the morning, sooner if signs of fever, increasing pain or generally feeling poorly (assuming the reversal was recent).

There are many different STDs, and they are not detected by one test. There are different tests, depending on what disease is suspected.

Genital sores, fever: Recurrent sores with a fever should be investigated.  Get a referral to a dermatologist, as there are many infectious diseases which can cause these effects.
