: A negative 4th gen combo test at 9 weeks after exposure rules out HIV. Your acid reflux is not due to any STI.  Acid reflux can cause sore throat and worse. If you are overweight, losing weight will help. If your symptoms persist, it would be prudent to see a doctor.

Viral pharyngitis: This most likely represents a viral tonsillitis or pharyngitis.  These illnesses will typically manifest with ulcerations and or white patches on the lining of the tonsil and throat.  CBC and strep tests will predictably be normal during these illnesses.  Mouthwashes which soothe the pain are most helpful for this; 50/50 maalox and liquid Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is a good place to start.

Difficult to say: Although your symptoms could be due to a sexually transmitted disease (STD), and having unprotected sex puts you at high risk for STD.  On the other hand, the symptoms you describe could be related to a viral illness and unrelated to your sexually activity.  You should be tested for STD as soon as possible and before you are sexually active again.  In the future, protect yourself, use condoms.

Dr. can check throat: New throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep). "Severe pain swallowing" deserves a doctor's exam.

Likely tonsil stone: There are debris collections called tonsil stones that sometimes appear on the tonsils. The majority of sore throats are viral including a variety of adeno-viruses, para-influenza virus among others. If it is not strep A antibiotics would not be helpful &amp; you will likely self heal over time. You can consult an ENT about the stone.

Varies: The more common cause of sore throats include a number of viruses.This includes the EB virus known to cause mono and a number of adenoviruses.These would be strep negative and unresponsive to any antibiotic.Some difference in tonsillar size is common.When the tonsil is truly massive it could be hiding a staph or other abscess.

You may have COVID : Rest, hydrate, quarantine &amp; eat healthfully. Consider use of acetaminophen, saline for nasal irrigation, decongestant or cough syrup. Naprosyn is a good choice if NSAID’s are used. Zinc, vitamin C &amp; D supplements may be helpful. Get urgent care for difficulty breathing, blue lips or face, marked persistent chest pain/ pressure or new onset confusion.

my mouth has been giving me problems, like post nasal drip and sore throat and yellow spot on tonsils and red line, i got a std test done in july after having sex since april and it was negative for everything and in sep hiv test and nothing whatisit?
