hi doctors.. plz help me am addicted to panadol (acetaminophen) night medication and i want to quit that but i can't i also have a little fobia from sleeplessness?

Melatonin: If you want to try a different sleep aid, i would recommend melatonin (available over the counter - start with 3 mg dose). It does not contain a pain reliever like panadol (contains acetaminophen). I have had many patients have success. Good luck.

i have had a mild headache for a day now. is it okay to take a panadol (acetaminophen) while i am on oral isotretinoin? i have been on the medication for 10 days.

Talk to doctor : You can try the panadol (acetaminophen) for the headache, but if the headache does not improve, you need to let the prescribing doctor know. One potentially serious side effect of Isotretinoin is pseudotumor cerebri which causes severe headaches by increasing pressure in the brain. This can be diagnosed by an ophthalmologist by looking at the retina in the eye.

can we take advil (ibuprofen) or panadol or paracetamol when taking ocd medications (faverine ) ? and is it bad to drink coffee?

Not to exceeds 2 cup: Pain medication can be taken as needed please limit amount of caffeine there are people who gets obsessed with caffeine . Drinking more than 2 cups could affect medication in some cases

is it possible to combine my blood pressure drug: exforge, with other pain killers such as tylenol, (acetaminophen) panadol etc..?

Yes : This drug is a combination of amlodipine and valsartan. These are safe drugs with Tylenol. Panadol is also acetaminophen. Please do not take both . I would try to avoid NSAIDs such as advil (ibuprofen) as this can contribute to hypertension. Follow the label for correct dosing. The amount of Tylenol you can take is reduced with age and liver disease.

Depends: Generally, panadol (acetaminophen) or the generic Acetaminophen is highly effective at relieving most headaches especially the common tension headache and those associated with allergy or sinus issues. Some headaches are more vascular or from other causes and these need treatment to of the underlying cause. If you are having frequent headaches talk to your md and/or dentist as it can indicate other serious issues.

Yes, absolutely: When i was doing anesthesiology for liver transplant surgery at harvard the most common reason for liver transplants was panadol (acetaminophen) overdose. Overdose of panadol can kill your liver, and life without a liver is no fun at all, and not very long. You should stay below 4000 mg per day, and less if you drink alcohol.
