Numbness: Numbness and tingling feeling usually an indicator of nerve irritation which could be from several causes from vitamin deficiency to cancer. Lump behind the ear again from different tissues, lymph gland, cysts, tumors. It really needs exam and some labs if warranted.

Lymphadenitis: Or swollen lymph nodes due to viral or bacterial infection. The swollen lymph nodes caused by cancer is not very common condition. I don't think that your case is any different. 
Headache is a separate issue.
If concerned, check with your pcp.

A lump is a lump...: A lump is a lump. The differential diagnosis (DDx) of a lump is very broad. Can it be cancer? Yes. Can it be an infected ear with a reactive lymph node? Yes. Can it be 200 other things? Yes. Work with your doctor to get a history, physical exam, and any necessary tests. And follow up over time.

baby almost 5 mos has goopy left eye i think clogged tear duct but also congested and has lump behind left ear on head. lymph node? thoughts?

Appt time: The baby can have bacterial conjunctivitis, to nasolacrimal obstruction, viral infection--he/she really needs to be seen.  As far as lymph nodes the one near the ear is located inferior to the ear not behind it.

Cyst or lymph node: Either you have a lymph node or more likely an infected sebaceous cyst.  Once it pops it will continue to pop.  You can try warm compress and meticulous cleaning but it will recur soon or years later.  Treatment for the cyst requires cutting it out.  It can be done in the office.  A general surgeon will have experience with this also plastics and ENT.
