Vaginal swelling : Would f/u with MD may be yeast infection or  include swollen infected Bartholin gland which may need lancing or other infection.( never had herpes in past? ). Used any new products? as may be allergic reaction.  f/u/ w/ gyn

Of course, always bring the info on the onset, degree, duration, evolution, &amp; progress of symptoms and their potentially related discomforts over time to Doc for analysis + exam + tests as needed so to deduce Dx for Rx timely

Clitoral pain?'s: Stabbing pain on or near the clitoris can arise from herpes viral infection, or simple vaginal infection since the clitoris has many sensory nerve fibers. See your gyn physician for an exam and testing for HSV I and II.

got vulvodynia for 6 weeks after pap smear.  don't know how it's triggered. vulva & clitoris pain even without touch. any cure?

Topical steroids: If there is no infection, you may have an acute reaction to the gel or some component from the pap exam. It is very unusual. If there is no infection, sometimes steroids are used to calm an inflammatory process

Internal bruising: from labor and the surgery, be sure to discuss with your doctor to be sure.

what can cause clitoris pain with slight itching? sore when clitoral hood is moved or when wiping. no discharge or smell. just pain in the clitoris with slight itching. it does not burn when i urinate or sit in water?

: The clitoris can be irritated from very tight clothing, fabrics in panties, or from friction and moisture. Absence of redness,vaginal itching  or discharge makes a yeast infection unlikely. Wear white cotton underwear, avoid tight jeans, apply a cortisone type ointment. See your physician or gynecologist as needed.

started my period a few days ago and my clitoris / vulva is sore (constant dull ache). ive not experienced this before but am extremely stressed atm so noticed more severe pms.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.  Wish you good health!

See your doctor: You need your doctor to review what it may be. If it is a sexually transmitted disease you will need this treated, if it is an abscess she will be able to incise and drain and treat with antibiotics.
