my period is extra painful and abnormally light. it cane perfectly on time just like the last couple of months and i had unprotected sex just a couple days after my last period... what are the chances i could be pregnant... no other sex protected or unpro

Greater than: Chances of pregnancy are greater w/unprotected sex than protected sex. If concerned, take home pregnancy test if/when 4wks late. If not TTC, use some form of contraception. Barrier eg condom also reduces risk of sexually transmitted diseases, too. Hormonal birth control can regulate periods, even stop them if desired, thus effectively dealing w/pain.

Depends: It really depends on the exact nature of your injury.  A simple, mild sprain should be doing well by 7-14 days.  Don't hesitate to be seen and evaluated for a specific diagnosis if it does not rapidly resolve.

Pain: Sounds like your back and ribs were injured while you were walking and then your boyfriend grabbed your cane. You do not describe falling, so I would assume you were twisted.  This would unlikely cause fracture.  However, likely chest wall and back strain. I would anticipate improvement in a week. Always possible for rib or even vertebra to get broken if pulled hard enough.

Normal : A 3-5 day period with slight variation in the amount of bleeding is a perfect description of normal menstruation. If you are not satisfied with your periods discuss the many options with your doctor. Birth control regulates. Lysteda will diminish. Some ate candidates for endometrial ablation.

Posibly: White canes can aid in mobility to tap for obstacles in the path of the blind person.  It is also a universally recognized symbol of the diminished vision.  It is appropriate to use if you quality and also need the cane for mobility.

i'm 7 weeks postop ltkr i still need to use a crutch when i'm not at home. is that normal or am i behind in recovery? would using a cane be better?

Depends: Consult your knee surgeon. He/she will tell you how your doing regarding where you should be based on the surgical approach etc. It may be that you are on the right recovery course, but best to discuss this with your surgeon.
