Get evaluated: Have your dr take a look at it to see if this is from infection or something else. Simple physical exam can help a lot to see if antibiotic is needed, or if drainage is needed first (if it has abscess) , take care.

i am a 30 yr old male. i noticed a bump on my sternum. it feels like there is a raised, rounding. it is not painful and i can't move it. ?

Get it checked...: It's likely something harmless like a sebaceous cyst, but give it a week or two and if not completely gone definitely get it checked out by your doctor.  It doesn't sound like it's something that needs to be seen today or tomorrow for though.  If it's just under or above your collarbone that's more concerning and definitely get it checked by your doc.

Chest pain: If otherwise healthy likely due to a transient inflammatory condition that should resolve spontaneously ;rarely at your age very serious conditions can also provoke similar symptoms; so its wise to be checked out with a physical exam and if deemed necessary some testing

Infection?: Not sure what the original cause might be- insect bite? ingrown hair follicle? dermal cyst? The changes now suggest the area is infected.  Warm compresses and an antibiotic ointment of cream used frequently may help.  If you have fever or chills, or the pain and redness continue to grow, you should definitely see a doctor.

Difficult to say: If it does not go away on its own, this would need to be looked at, as it could be anything from a hernia to an infection.  See a doctor and be prepared to say how long it has been there, whether it changes with food or bearing down (like coughing), and whether you've had any history of surgery in this area or similar problems in the past.
