Need more infO: You need ultrasound of gallbladder and mesenteric artery Doppler if you are older and smoke, have vascular disease.  If above are negative and you do not have red flag symptoms of weight loss, trouble swallowing, or black/bloody stools, I would treat you with once daily omeprazole for 2-3weeks to see if you improve.

Multiple answers: There can be a number of things causing this from gastritis, stomach ulcers, reflux, gallbladder disease, esophageal spasm, cardiac disease, pericardial effusion....The problem is that without a proper examination, further history, and possibly testing, this online format doesn't allow for exact diagnosis of what might be happening.  See a doctor.  If pain gets worse follow up immediately

Need to see Doc: We consider all the organs in that part of body, which is stomach, so you have to consider gastritis, peptic ulcer disease etc. Other organ is lung, so that pneumonia, pleurisy may be a problem if accompanied with fever, chills, sweats, cough and discolored sputum. It could be muscles, rib, cartilage. Hence, to find the proper cause, further work by doc is indicated.

Aerophagia: You sound like you're swallowing air. This is an unconscious act related to irritation in the digestive tract (e.g. Gerd, peptic ulcer disease, etc) and sometimes becomes conditioned for stress reduction. You need an evaluation. Meds and behavior modification can be very helpful.

Sounds like: you may have a gastric or duodenal ulcer. or gastritis ..One simple test (Upper GI endoscopy) and /or contrast imaging  will give the important answer. Its important since specific treatment is available after diagnosis!
