See a osteopathic DR: If you have hip pain, and knee pain too on both sides of your body, and low back pain, it would be a very good idea to see osteopathic physician, who can evaluate, and treat you and offer solutions. You may need imaging if it's severe. If not, s/he can get you out of pain, and provide immediate relief quickly. It will depend on your medical, trauma, social, dietary history.

why do i get pain in the lower side of right leg only when running? this happens almost everyday now. it's not a cramp. i have to stop & shake/hit it.

Something is wrong: If you are having pain on one side then there is something wrong in that area.   Biomechanics and anatomy play a role in musculoskeletal pain.   One of the most common things i see is shin splints.  The tibialis posterior muscle is a deep posterior compartment muscle that has most of its attachment to the tibia.  If this muscle is tight or strained it pulls away from the bone.

See a doctor: Pain is your body telling you something is wrong. He needs to be seen and probably x-rayed. Call his primary care provider who may recommend an orthopedic surgeon ( they do things other than surgery) or take him to an urgent care clinic. Good luck.

See a spine surgeon: as your symptoms suggest a disc lesion, irritating  the nerve which is going to your buttock and down the leg.
U need a MRI to confirm the Dx, and then if nonsurgical management doesn't help then surgery would be a definite option to free up the nerve.

FM includes chronic spasm/weakness of major muscles that maintain upright posture.

Strain: An acute strain appears to have occurred. Another possibility is an impingement of an intercostal nerve or muscle that runs between two ribs. Either event would be caused by the awkward positioning but shouldn't cause serious damage. If discomfort persists apply cold applications for 48 hours and then switch to moist heat intermittently as needed.

It: Can.   This can lead to gait issues which could also lead to the muscle and nerve pain.  Physical therapy would help this issue.  Talk to your doctor
