Runners knee: Patellar tendonitis and patellofemoral syndrome can cause this. Consider good stretch, warmup, & cool down.

: It should eventually if you diligently exercise that knee as advised by physical therapist. Your surgery has been more than 3 months so the recovery seems longer than average but you will get there. Good luck to your full recovery.

Patella issue: Based on your age, I'd be thinking of a patella chondromalacia/ alignment issue irritated by activity.
Also, you might have a patella bursitis if you've had some trauma to the area.
I'd go with some rest, ice and NSAIDs.
If symptoms persist, I'd get an orthopedic exam.

Patellar problem?: When you have pain in front  the knee, that indicate most likely abnormal friction between the knee cap and the thigh bone(early arthritis)that cause tiny particle to drop in the joint, and cause the knee to react front and back , because the connecting front and back?

i hit my knee cap, really hard, on the very edge of a coffee table a day & a half ago. it made contact with the left front side edge of my knee cap.

Knee pain: likely a bruise but need an xray to look at the bones especially the patella to make sure nothing was broken. See an orthopedic doc. Till then brace, ice and NSAIDs

i have a new lump directly above my knee cap on one knee (inner front). i did have ultrasound and was told that i have asymmetrical fatty tissue over the knees that is unencapsulated. lump has been present 2 months & is often hot to the touch?

Try support stocking: This may be a varicose vein and may need to be addressed if it is causing discomfort. If there is redness associated with it you may have a superficial phlebitis. If just swollen you can try a compressive stocking.

if leg ulcer is found on the front of the leg aprox 10 cm from knee cap, could it still be a veneous ulcer? unusual for my age? but what else?

Abrasion: Venous ulcers usually do not occur in the pretibial area.  Is there a scab that could be from a contusion or abrasion? These may take days to weeks to fill in from below and fully heal. A vascular surgeon could be consulted if it isn't healing.
