Nerve: You sound like you are describing nerve symptoms in the arm from a pinched nerve in the neck.  This numbness and weakness will start in the arm and travel down to the hand.  You should see your family md for an evaluation.  It could be carpal tunnel syndrome but that should not cause arm weakness.

5 weeks ago i fell down stairs.  xrays & ct scan ok. i still have pain and loss of strength/energy in upper arms.  is there a treatment or?

Consider MRI if your x-rays and CT scans were normal you probably do not have anything serious. You might want to consider an MRI as it is more sensitive to a disc herniation.: If your ct scan and x-rays are normal you probably do not have anything significant. You might want to consider an MRI of your cervical spine as it is more sensitive to disk herniation could be pressing on nerve roots .Most likely that test would be normal as well. Massage therapy and physical therapy may be what you need to get back your strength and feeling of well-being.

See details: You are possibly experiencing disuse atrophy but there are several other causes including cervical spine and brachial plexus disorders and lyme disease. Have you seen a neurologist and have mris and nerve conduction studies been done?

Reccomend seeing: Your doctor. This could be nothing, but would need physical exam and thorough history to rule out any issues. Again, this could be nothing but an irritated nerve, with one sided weakness i would want to rule out more serious issues like ms. Not likely that, but just to be cautious, consider having an MRI done.

Apply warm packs and try over the counter ibuprofen(if no allergies).
Go see your dr if your symptoms worsen.
