Pharyngeal Exudates: There are many causes of Exudative pharyngitis including viral, strep, mono and more serious and rare causes like diphtheria. Most ENT doctors can easily make the diagnosis. If it is culture negative it may be viral. Candida yeast can cause exudate like white patches on the pharynx in people who are immune compromised or using steroid inhalers for asthma that suppress the immune response.

See doctor.: It could be any number of ailments, from allergies, to the flu, to strep throat or any combination or something all together different. The key is being examined by your doctor to get a definitive analysis and diagnosis. That will help you feel better sooner.

Could be.: There could be residual inflammation in the esophagus or throat from the choking episode.  That being said, if you're not better in another day or two you need to see a local doctor to make sure the choking episode didn't cause anything more long lasting down there.

Definitely: These symptoms worsening and for this long need to be seen by a physician and if this is really bad you might consider going into the er.

Oral ulcers?: I suspect you have Crohn's and you need to be seen by a competent gastroenterologist. We need to rule out Behcet's, HIV, lupus, Wegener's, and granulocyoenia. I hope this is a start. Best wishes.

Several possibilites: You may have an infection , salivary gland inflammation or infection, pharyngitis, dental infection.  Please see you physician asap to prevent any serious complicationinfection.

DISH: Exaggerated bone spurs on the front of the spine may do this. Diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis, if you're a googler. Unlikely if you're 35. I would treat these as two separate problems. See an ENT for swallowing issue. Try pt, nsaids, etc for neck. Obtain doctor's eval if not improving.

Strep vs Mono: If you are having throat pain and swelling that is impairing your ability to swallow and speak clearly you should be evaluated in-person promptly in an urgent care or ER to ensure your airway is protected. There are medicines that can be given in the above settings to ensure your symptoms improve pending some additional testing.

what causes ear,jaw,neck pain with soreness, swelling and difficulty swallowing all on the left side.

Complex : The head and neck is exquisitely intricate.  Could be anything from an ear or upper respiratory infection to TMJ syndrome to cancer in a smoker.   Could be a dental problem too.  If worsening need an ENT doc to examine you, especially if a smoker.  Motrin can help relieve symptoms.  But if worse after the drug wears off need to see a doc.
