dr taking clomoid(fertab 50 mg) makes ovulation early?? my periods are regular. i want to confirm will it makes ovulation earlier than normal cycles?

Delayed ovulation: Clomiphene tends to prolong the first half of the menstrual cycle. Taking this into account some regimen suggest, women should take clomiphene starting day 3 of their cycle through day 7 rather than day 5 through day 9. To optimize chances of conception, women on clomiphene should have intercourse on day 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, and 17 of their cycle.

Not enough: You should not get a period the week of ovulation. If this is really a menstrual period, it suggests there may be a problem with ovulation.

Menstruation: Menstruation normally occurs 14 days after ovulation and fourteen days before menstruation. You most likely ovulated seven days early.

Which one?: Your ovulation day on the previous cycle  happened most likely 14 days before the 1st day of your period (*but see below) your next ovulation should occur, similarly 14 days before the first day of your next period. Then, it depends on whether this cycle will (or not) be shorter. *also, anovulatory cycles may occur. Check with your gyn to see what was the case. Best wishes.

Hard to tell: One cannot predict when ovulation will exactly happen if her period changed a few days. For example, if her cycle goes back to 32 days, ovulation might be on february 4. But, if her cycle is 29 days, ovulation might be on february 1. If trying to get pregnant, one can have sex from january 28 through february 5 to cover both scenarios.

Get a pregnancy test: If in doubt as to weather you had a normal period or not, just get a pregnancy test to confirm your status. It is very common for some individuals not to ovulate each month. If you have further concerns see your PCP or GYN.

i stopped nuvaring after 2 years. i'm on month 1 and period is 5 days early. is this common? will next months ovulation be normal or should i worry?

It's been one month: This is your first period not on birth control. You are now back to your normal menstrual pattern not the pattern controlled by using Nuvaring. You will have to track your cycles over the next few months to determine what is normal for you.

Period: Changes in your hormones can naturally occur so if you are having a normal cycle then this my be normal and should not reoccur , however if you continue to be irregular you may need some hormonal therapy
