No: This is a glucosamine/chondroitin product that is generally well tolerated except is you are a poorly controlled diabetic. Evidence that it helps oa of the hands is questionable.

Back  Traction?: I assume  you may mean back traction. Although knee pain can be related  to the joint, surrounding soft  tissues  like bursas and tendons, one can also have  knee pain that is referred from other sites  like the hip or from radiation from other sites liek the back which can pinch or  nerves, facet  joints or soft  tissues that is felt in teh knee. Back traction might help this pain from the back.

It does cause pain especially in the the major joints of the body, ie the shoulders, hips and knees.  There will be pain with weightbearing and there will be limited range of motion. X-rays will show osteoarthritis and should be done when suspect.
