Breakthrough bleed: Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time)  is very common on birth control. It happens in about 1/3 of users. Its no big deal and usually self corrects over time.  If you are not satisfied or it continues to happen  then consider using a different birth control method. It is a common side effect and does not mean something is wrong or that the pill is not working.

Controlling periods: Congratulations on getting married, i understand that you might not want to have your period on your wedding day. Consider switching to a pill that has estrogen and Progesterone abd take it continuously, skipping the sugarpill/placebo week.  Ask your prescriber for details.

Birth control : Marijuana does not affect the efficacy of progesterone-only birth control pills. These type of pills do not increase the risk of stroke or blood clots like estrogen containing pills.
