Sexual safety: There really isn't anything called "safe sex" except with a mutually monogamous partner with a known negative and  STD tested sexual history. Herpes active lesions are very capable to transmit the infection to others. The herpes virus has been known to shed from the site after healing for up to 21 days. Condoms are useless if the lesions are on the scrotum and not the penis. Use sexual safety!

STDs: Yes you are likely to be safe. If you both are sexually faithful and were virgins there is no reason to fear STDs between you. A condom is not even needed for oral sex. Unwanted 72, etc...: Emergency contraception pills (Plan B, Unwanted 72, ets...) are hormone pills and can alter a woman's periods for that month and sometimes the month after.  Periods should be back to the way they were, after about 6 weeks. If still worried or if the third period doesn't look or seem normal, one can do a home pregnancy test, or talk with her primary care doctor or Ob-Gyn doctor.

Vasectomy: If he had a vasectomy and confirmed that there was no sperm after the procedure, then the chance of getting pregnant is very low. Still you can get other types of std's.  If you wanted to conceive, he would need to undergo a vasectomy reversal or a testicular aspiration to remove sperm to use, typically for an ivf cycle.

Different position: Sciatica could be aggrevated by sex.  But,  a person could try different positions and may find some that do not cause it to get worse and are comfortable.

HIV: You did not say how long after sex you were tested and how you were tested. The best thing to do, before having unprotected sex, is to see a clinic or a doctor specializing in STDs and be checked several times up to 3 or sometimes 6 months after possible exposure. Be very careful, this is a bad disease. It is dangerous out there.

Although: low Progesterone levels in men may make them statistically have a higher risk of some serious disorders including some prostate diseases there IS NOYT YET and SCIENTIFICALLY BASED MEDICAL EVIDENCE that Progesterone supplementation  decreases the incidences of these disorders..

Depends: Epididymytis is not a sexually transmitted disease unless his infection is caused by chlamydia or gonorrhea.

HIV: Assuming you were tested appropriately it is very unlikely that you were infected if the tests are negative 8 months later. You need not be retested at this point, but be very careful and make sure you are protected when having sex. Hope this helps.
