Evaluation by your physician, oral surgeon or an otolaryngologist is advised. Testing would include a throat culture to check for strep and also a monotest and cbc. Your eosinophil count of 412 is nonspecific.

Could be: The tonsil infection can cause inflammation of the surrounding tissue, or sometimes it is due to inflammation in the lymph glands in the neck.  Either way, if you are continuing to have pain, have a fever, or have continuing throat pain, you may need to be checked for mono, strep, or other causes. Let your doc know.

: There are several causes of enlarged parotid glands ranging from obstructed salivary ducts from stone formation to autoimmune disease to infection to tumors. It seems you are being treated for an infection possibly from an obstructed duct. If you have dry mouth this might be also from an immune disorder. I suggest you followup an ENT doctor if your swelling does not subside to baseline soon.

See a doctor: If this has lasted for 3 years (as i understand, ) you should definitely be evaluated by a physician. With these symptoms, i would have recommended evaluation after 2-3 weeks.

Dysfunction: Dysfunction of your jaw (temporomandibular) joint.  While there is no recognized specialty in Dentistry called TMJ, many general and specialist Dentist's have expertise in treating the jaw joints and associated tissues.  Start with your General Dentist who may offer you treatment or refer you to a colleague.  Help is available.

i've had swollen submandibular nodes for years.  can swollen nodes cause jaw pain? one node had needle biopsy years ago. they told me not to worry.

Try another visit: Submandibular glands can be enlarged for many reasons and several are quite benign. If you are having jaw pain as well, I would consider getting checked by an oral maxillofacial surgeon or at least another dentist to exam you and confirm this is nothing to worry about and does not require treatment

Probably no: Lymph nodes are usually enlarged due to an inflammation causing increased fluid and or increased white blood cells within the lymph nodes. That inflammation's cause can be a simple mild infection or inflammation.  Unless the TMJ is associated or caused by an inflammation or infection within the joint, then the surrounding nodes could swell.
