i am currently taking zofran (ondansetron) 8mg. today i took one at 10am, then again at 4pm and then again at 9pm. was that bad to take that many in one day? will i have any side effects from taking that many?

WELL TOLERATED: ZOFRAN (ondansetron) is very well tolerated for nausea. Most common side effect is sedation try to rest. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery.

Yes: Drowsiness is reported with this medication. The most common side effects are transient headache and dizziness. Constipation and diarrhea are also reported. Some patients experience anxiety. All of these side effects are reported with almost any medication.

Zofran: Pharmacological studies on Zofran show that patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment (liver) may have an extended half life of Zofran. In most patients over half the drug is gone in 5.7 hours. Older patients may take longer to clear Zofran as well. It really depends what side effects you are talking about as well.

24 hours: is a little late to get side effects, would happen  sooner

i took a zofran (ondansetron) around 11am and then had blurred vision and dizziness for about 2 hrs, but it went away. its now 10pm.  is this a normal side effect?

Side effects: Dizziness is a normal side effect. Blurry vision can indicate a serious side effect. You should stop taking zofran (ondansetron) at this point and talk to your doctor about controlling your nausea with another type of medication.

my face swells after taking ondansetron and my doc says im allergic to all anti nausea drugs now, is that right? was it just a side affect?

Not right.: Sounds like allergy.  Ondansetron is a 5ht3 receptor antagonist and probably shares immunogenic potential with other members of the 5ht3 class.  All those medications are antinauseants and all end in -setron, e.g. Granisetron.

There are many other anti nausea meds which work at different receptors and do not likely share any immunogenic potential. But Metoclopramide has some 5ht3 activity.

if on my feet most of the day i have uti feeling of urgency/painful urinating. no infection. causes? side effect from humira or zofran (ondansetron)?

Urine urgency 60 M: Need more details. At your age consider prostatic enlargement. Not nerve ablation but don't know where.  Consider nerve damage to nerves the control bladder as possibility. Check with your team and describe in great detail.

Many drug: Interactions -any h/x liver disease, minimal dosing. Not meant as a long duration medication to my knowledge.

Most likely OK: It doesn't appear, from searching a database, that are any significant drug-drug interactions between those two medications.
