Nope: Medicines like angiotensin inhibitors and receptor blockers (such as olmesartan) have shown no propensity to this in trials of patients with known erectile dysfunction.  To the contrary, it appears that among antihypertensives, these classes may, if anything, improve erectile function.  Great question!

i am 29 years old  and i am taking   olmesartan medoxomil tablets (20mg)for diastolic blood pressure.i am also suffering  erectile dysfunction.i am able to achieve erection but its only about 5-10 sec?

Look elsewhere: This would be an unusual reaction to this medication. You should not be having erectile dysfunction especially at your age, and your physician has a responsibility to you to determine if this is the right rx for your hypertension, whether you have a surgically treatable cause of hypertension, whether you need an rx, and whether there's a different cause of erectile dysfunction.

Yes...: But your BP should be the guide. If you are switching to another med you can stop in 48hrs. if you are stopping med completely....your BP will be the guide.
