Do pregnancy test: Since your cycle is late and you are spotting, the most common diagnosis is pregnancy. You can do a pregnancy test over the counter. You could also have an std or vaginal infection and i would go to a gyne to be examined.

i have a regular period.last one was late by a week.11 days later i saw odorless dark brown-discharge+light spotting.been continuing for 5days since.i had protected sex after my period. any reason?

Possibly...: This could represent problems on the cervix or uterine abnormalities like polyps or fibroids.  More often than not it is not anything to worry about.

We would check your vagina- cervix for abnormalities if someone is concerned and it is a persistent happening.  Otherwise, we would ask you to track this and if continues, would bring you into the office for evaluation.

i'm on diane 35, taking it regularly at the same time every day. after my withdrawal in december, i noticed odorless watery brown discharges with samll pieces of saturated red blood. it didn't stop even after getting another withdrawal bleeding. why?

Both the light: Pink ; brown discharges may be blood. Brown usually equates to older, deoxygenated blood.

Hematospermia: either too much too often, too aggressive- most probably a  broken blood vessel: here's the challenge- no masturbation for 1 week OR- go to the hospital. I suggest that you give it a rest for 1 week-

Anovulatory: You may be having anovulatory, meaning "no egg", cycles. This causes some dark spotting instead of a regular period. This can start happening as you get closer to menopause. If it continues, your doctor might want to get an ultrasound of your uterus or possibly a biopsy. Don't worry, just keep track of when it happens and follow-up with your doctor. (and always carry pads or tampons!).

Common: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections &  hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test .  There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

Pregnancy test: If you had sex since your last period and missed your period by 4-5 days, do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. 
Practice safe sex if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine, if you are younger than 27 years.
