Yes: The hormones ine pill are taken orally, whereas the patch has the hormone absorbed through the skin.  They should have the same benefits.

Birth control : Yes your skin can get darker so use sun screen daily.  You should not gain weight and all pills can be effective

See a dermatologist: Acne at 27 indicates hormonal imbalances. Diets high in simple carbs/sugars can contribute, as can weight gain. Wash your face no more than twice a day, use a mild soap. apply acne treatments only to problem spots, not your whole face. A dermatologist may prescribe spironolactone or a low dose antibiotic. Avoid picking at/squeezing pimples and maintain good hygiene incl. washing pillowcases/towels

Usually: Most hormonal contraceptives will improve acne by reducing ovary and adrenal androgens.  Some pills are even medically indicated for acne, although most will have that effect.

Sounds ok: The current thinking is that except for rifampin, other commonly-used antibiotics do not alter the effectiveness of birth control pills. This is likely true, presuming a person is not sick with vomiting or diarrhea, or some other condition that decreases the absorption of a swallowed pill.
