Failure to Report: Occupational injury by definition would also be a work comp injury.  The only time this would be a problem is if the patient failed to report it in a timely fashion and can not prove that the injury was acquired on the job.  This is why all injuries should be reported immediately in order to take advantage of your rights.

No and Yes: Used to be this case in medical field now we work as a team and cross check each other, have quality management people who review internally we have external audits, computers with smart alerts so it is a lot better. So technically answer is no. But as a spirit if we are functioning without awareness without intension can cause harm. Medicine is team work thank god for that.

Serious: It is a real source of worry.  If the person who the needle was used on has a serious infectious disease that can be spread through blood then it can be quite serious.

: Did your insurance company refer you to the PT? If so they are a licensed and you can look up their history. You can request same PT and ask for credentials. If you chose your own PT, than ask for credentials.

Training: Depending on the eye injury and amount of vision loss, they show them ways of judging their environment that don't involve using one or both eyes.

They Should: There are societies for the blind in most metropolitan areas.  These tend to be custom made for visual problems.  Different eye diseases cause different losses and different disabilities.  But ot could certainly help with doing daily activities with decreased or no vision.

had tendon repair surgery 11 days ago for zone 2 pinky finger injury. in splint & occupational therapy for next 6 weeks & stitches come out tomorrow. finger still quite stiff feeling. normal? how long before stiffness subsides & it loosens up?

: You're experiencing normal postop stiffness. It can go on for weeks. Hopefully you'll eventually regain full range of motion. Your hand surgeon who knows the full extent of your injury and type of repair will advise you best.
