Nerve entrapment?: Need to be investigated.Concerns are a possible herniated cervical disc or nerve being entrapped at some point in your arm.Need to be examined and an EMG is a very useful tool in determining the proper level of nerve compression.Of course some other causes of nerve tingling need to be investigated.

It can't hurt : To check evaluated and have an ekg. With a family history of heart disease, you have a higher risk.

Two considerations: You might possess pinching of nerve in neck, cervical radiculopathy, and if arm is raised, you might feel less symptoms.  Or, you could have thoracic outlet syndrome, and if arm is elevated, you will have more intense symptoms.  One additional caveat, make sure that your pain is not of cardiac origin.  Have your doctor assess all of this.

35yrold.since a month,when i am tensed/stressed with work,i get tingling in left arm from shoulder till ringfinger.no chestpain/sweats.i get yearly medical checkup and tmt was normal 6 months back.i dont get this sensation even when i climb upstairs.

Possibilities: Neurological, cardiovascular, systemic, etc. time for a full evaluation. See your GP.

Need more info: Symptoms are significant. Pl;ease make an appointment with your family physician ASAP. Could be the beginning of shingles or something else and warrants an exam now.
