Knee: If the numbness is persistent and the knee is not swollen it may be a sprain or strain.
If the knee locks or becomes swollen, painful, tender, hot, or locks, i would strongly recommend an MRI and orthopedic evaluation.

A few can...: The posterior knee injury with resulting fluid collection, formation of a large cyst may cause impingement on the tibial nerve supplying the foot.
Also, while injuring the knee, one can have a back injury affecting the sciatic nerve supplying the entire leg.

Nerve related: Hx suggestive of nerve related numbness. Physical exam will help determine clear DX.

Uncommon neuropathy: Gonyalgia paresthetica (neuropathy of the infrapatellar branch of the saphenous nerve) due to mild trauma, knee operation, or spontaneous, may cause a several cm diameter numb patch below knee +/- intermittent lancinating pain. Medial femoral cutaneous nerve supplies near by skin & may too be involved. In your case, may be due to vasculitic neuropathy or from other manifestation of aps.

Yes: Your symptoms are very concerning for a blood clot in your leg. This can be very serious and should not wait until morning. Go to the er now where they can do a type of ultrasound on your leg to made sure there is no clot.

Can take longer : Soft tissue/muscle injuries can take longer to heal, warm compresses, NSAIDS, unless contraindicated, and Ace bandage can help, however, if it is getting worse rather, better revisit your doctor for a second look, wish you well

Probably not: Compartment syndrome usually occurs the first several days after an injury due to swelling.  The other symptoms are severe pain, numbness, paralysis and loss of circulation. You should be evaluated by an orthopedist.
