Ah medium is not : The cause. It might be the beginnings of a neuropathy that can have lots of causes. See your doc!

slammed car door on my foot around 6pm.. instant pain that slowly stoped then about 1 hour later it started throbbing and is now painful to walk flat on. pain around outer side and heal song with tingling and some numbness? what should i do?

: Get it Xrayed to ascertain fracture.  Even if bruised, might need supportive device

Without knowing: Details about you as a patient its tough to give a definitive answer. The first thought that comes to my mind is neuropathy. If you have uncontrolled diabetes, then that would be one possible cause. The treatment would be aggresive blood sugar control and use of medications in the class of neurontin (gabapentin). Nerve compression causing these type of symptoms are a possibility though not as likely....

i am 11 weeks post-op from orif r fibula. plate & 10 screws. have numbness,tingling, burning in foot from nerve pain.  will this heal?

Probably!: but damaged nerves take a long time to "regenerate" 6-8 months is not unusual. Your Orthopedist will likely discuss this with you!

Paresthesia: symptoms are most likely from herniated disc and probably stenosis. Yes, see doctor for evaluation, it can an internist first then he/she will refer to a neurologist/neurosurgeon as necessary

There : There are a lot of causes for numbness in the feet.  If it's both feet, chances are the cause is systemic, like diabetes, anemia, thyroid disease, or some other kind of systemic problem.

A full work-up, including blood tests and a neurological examination is required.  While numbness is usually not a symptom of poor circulation, vascular testing may also be advised.

You can start with a podiatrist or your primary care physician to get a better idea on what type of specialist to go to based on the tests i noted above.

Ankle sprain: Normal healing of a sprained ankle takes several weeks (on average).  If its a chronically sprained ankle with constant pain and instability, it will take longer than a "normal" sprain.  Yes, a sprain can get worse.  Usually 3-4 weeks of rest, icing, antiinflammatory meds (like advil (ibuprofen) or motrin), bracing or compressing wraps, with or without physical therapy should be normal. Hope that helps!

Nerve irritation: Numbness is often a sign of a nerve being irritated or pinched somewhere.  Diabetic patients for example get neuropathy.  Vascular issues may cause numbness too, such as when you get "pins and needles" in your feet if you sit on them too long etc.  If the problem persists, see your dr. And get evaluated and possibly have an EMG to start the diagnostic work up.
