is numbness after radiesse (dermal fillers) normal? i've been considering getting radiesse (dermal fillers), but a friend had face numbness for a long time after her procedure. is that normal? could it be because she had a nerve block for anesthesia?

I've : I've not seen long term numbness after Radiesse (dermal fillers) injection. It's common to have some numbness for a few hours from the numbing medication, though.

They sound neurologi: Since on one side it does  suggest neurologic. It depends why you had the nerve  block as to whether there  may be a relationship to that  cause  or from the nerve  block. You need to discuss with your physician.

No: It is not normal to have numbness that long as local anesthetic effects do not last for that long as that is what causes numbness from those blocks, if it were damaged nerves from the block these are peripheral nerves and they do repair themselves, would discuss this with doc that did block as well as pcp, need to rule out other causes also.

Nerve Block: The effect of limb numbness in nerve blocks depends on the nerve blocked, central vs nerve root, vs peripheral, the patients biological state of health to break down numbing agents, and the type of anesthetic used, for Lidocaine usually 1-2 hours, for Marcaine up to 6 hours centrally and longer peripherally, also nerve injury or bleeding in the nerve sheath can cause long term numbness.

See below: Pudendal nerve id derived from s2, (racepinephrine) 3, 4 nerves. It gives branches to the inf. Rectal, perineal and dorsal nerve of penis. Block is at low buttock area (ischial tuberosity). You will get penile numness and some scrotal numbness. 
Main indication in males is for penile pain syndrome.

i had surgery today on my fibula and a plate was placed. the proletariat lies in the nerve block as i still cannot move my toes or ankle now and they are still numb, how long should this last ? (it has been approximately 8 hours since surgery?

No: These nerve blocks can last for a few days on occasion. It may actually be saving you a lot of agony at the moment. You should start to regain sensation and pain in the next 24 hours.
