Neuritis: Atypical facial pain can come and go.  Severe spasms can occur (tic douloureux) that are in the tri-geminal distribution.  You describe v2 distribution.  However, ear and sinus disease must be excluded.  A thorough medical evaluation would be appropriate.

Allergy: You could have an allergy to something you were in contact with. Apply some ice and take an antihistamine. That should take care of it

Need X-ray and eval: If you haven't been seen yet by a doctor, please go to the ER or see an ear, nose and throat specialist ( ENT). You may have a facial fracture and nerve entrapment that's causing the numbness

Maybe, but...: The nature of MS is that it causes a wide variety of symptoms, &amp; without knowing you better as a patient, it's impossible to tell. Please repost &amp; include the answer to your question given to you by your treating neurologist; or, if you have not asked him/her, please state why not.

Numbness: Possibly permanent. 15 stitches is pretty good laceration. Possible one of your nerves could be permanently damage. However, nerves can take time to come in and it may be that over the next 3 months your feeling will come back.
