Tongue numbness: What I can suggest is keep following up with your neurologist. The purpose is to keep reevaluating you to make sure this problem is not persisting or progressing and to watch for any nee neurological signs appearing.

i woke up weak and numb on left side of body can still walk and move but sharp pains all over. been 14hrs now  should i be concerned? mri in 2wks ms?

Sounds serious: It might be a stroke. If these are new symptoms, you need to go to the ER, ASAP.  However, I am confused on what is meant by "mri in 2 wks ms?"  If you already have an MRI ordered, how did you come to have it ordered? If you have been having these type symptoms for a while and they ordered the MRI because of these symptoms then you need to contact whoever ordered your MRI to let them know.

i hve buzzing in my foot, calf pain and my middle three toes are numb on left side. any ideas?

Sounds like nerve: Most likely condition would be a pinched nerve.  The nerves that supply the feet stem from nerve branches traveling from the leg.  The "pinch" could be from the back at its root, but it an also be locally due to musculature.  Another thing to be checked is circulation because if blood flow is hampered to a an area, it can cause pain and reduce function in the nerves.  Get checked properly.

Asked MD?: This is an odd symptom. Does "numb" mean less feeling or too much feeling, i.e. Paresthesias (pins and needles)? Are there skin changes over the area (as in old shingles)? The nerves supplying the left lower quadrant come from the lower thoracic spinal roots, i.e. From the spinal roots at the lower end of the rib-cage. How long is "a long time"? Has your doctor examined you? What does (s)he say?

Maybe from biting: Make sure you can speak properly and move your tongue properly. Also make sure all your extremities have strength. If so, it is unlikely you had a stroke. It is likely more related to the pressure on your tongue. Follow up as needed. All the best.
