Residual blood: sometimes residual blood can manifest itself after a period. It may be that. If it persists or gets worse, talk to your GYN to see if maybe there is anything else that may be causing it

There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

Would recommend test: I can see why you are concerned that your period is different than before.  If you have not taken a pregnancy test, I would recommend doing that to make sure we've though about it.  There can be some slight variation in periods, but I would also be on the lookout for any pain, discharge, nausea.  Would definitely make an appointment if your pregnancy is negative.

Need more history: Are you sexually active? (pregnancy a risk)
Did you have high stress (can throw the cycle off)
Need more cycles to see if it is a recurrent issue.

So pregnancy test if indicated. Otherwise wait for 1-2 more cycles if no other associated complaints.
