I : I am sorry that you are going through all of that.  The average pre-menopause and menopause last anywhere from 2-6 years depending on the patient.  I am not sure of your age.  The average age of period cessation for women is 53-54.  As yours has been going on for so long, seeing a gynecologist to discuss your symptoms and possible treatment would be a reasonable consideration.  In addition, other causes of hair thinning, such as hypothyroidism, should be ruled out, though certainly hair does thin for some women through menopause.

Yes: Menopause is a process that takes several years. It is manifest by irregularity of periods regarding frequency, amount, & duration. What you are experiencing is variability in they frequency of your periods. You may have a period monthly or you may skip several months & then have another period. This may go on for several years until they eventually stop altogether. Look for hot flashes & sweats.

Concerning: This is post-menopausal bleeding, which can be a sign of cancer or pre-cancer of the uterus.  This should be evaluated by a gynecologist ASAP.

No ovulation: It is common for some women to have irregular periods. This is usually due to irregular ovulation. Schedule a visit with an obgyn for testing. They will likely test you for something called pcos as well as thyroid disease and a prolactin level. Birth control will usually regulate the menstrual cycle.

Menopause: The average age of menopause is 51yo. There are some patients who progress into menopause at much earlier age and usually amenorrhea that is more than one year is classified as menopause. You can also ask your doctor for hormonal assay to include such as FSH to confirm menopause.

Unlikely: The average age of menopause in the us is around 52 y/o. Two periods every 30 days is not normal in a 32 y/o woman. See your doctor for evaluation.
