i have a pulling/pain on my lower left side. can't get comfortable in any position. also feels like it's burning at times.

Pulling: Left lower side pain includes left lower chest wall, so pain could be rib, intercostal muscle pain.  Does it hurt to breath? Abdominal wall pain or trapezius pain.  Pain could be spleen, colon, kidney.

: If symptom just happens you can just observe it. You should only concern if symptom persists day after day or other new symptom develops then you should see a doctor. We, at times, have nonspecific symptom which can be explained and it is usually short lasting. Good luck.

?Shoulder problem: A burning discomfort of the upper arm could be referred from a low grade bursitis of the shoulder. Another cause could be from nerve irritation from neck problems like disk bulging. I recommend having an examination by an orthopedic surgeon if symptoms persist or worsen.

is it really true that it is better to exercise at a lower intensity for fat burning? i heard if you exercise at 60-70 percent intensity for a longer time this is best. otherwise your body doesnt use your fat stores to fuel the workout.

Preferentially: using your body's fat store for energy is not so much a function of the intensity as it is duration.  The typical example is a non-world class marathon runner who expends 70-75% intensity for a long period, between 3-5 hours.  Burning carbohydrate stores and switching to lipid metaboism starts after 45-60 minutes of continuous exercise at a moderate to moderately intense activity.
