Nitrofurantoin ?'s: Nitrofurantoin does not affect contraception used via oral bcps (if taken punctually), unless nausea/vomiting occur with use of same. The bcp medication may be reduced due to expulsion with the N&amp;V.

june 1/20 while taking nitrofurantoin but i finished taking the nitrofurantoin do i take my birth control for 7 days to be protected all over again incase nitrofurantoin cause less effectiveness or am i safe?

BCP's/antibiotics : If you continued your use of "June 1/20" , any effects of diminished protection from the oral bcp's which might increase risks of pregnancy would produce breakthrough bleeding (estrogen withdrawal).  If no bleeding has occurred during antibiotic use, continue using oral bcp's punctually and pregnancy protection should not be decreased.
