Not likely: Boils, more often than not, are caused by staphylococci or other gram-positive organisms and Nitrofurantoin is not the therapy of choice, and is predominantly used for urinary tract infection.  You need to see a doctor, have the boils opened and cultured and be treated based upon the microbiology lab results. Good luck.

: Not safe as marijuana interferes with the metabolism of macrobid. Violent vomiting  as well as dizziness &amp; reduced motor reflexes. can occur using this combination. Doctors are reluctant to give prescriptions for meds to heavy users of weed. Your pharmacist can validate this information.

Be : Be confident that your doctor is doing the right thing. The urine culture that was done shows which antibiotics will work and which will not against the bacteria that is causing the infection. If you were put on Nitrofurantoin again then I am sure the culture showed that the bacteria was sensitive to it. Recurrent uti's are very common in pregnancy, and the fact that you took the antibiotic before does not mean it will not work this time.
