Most likely DM: Most people with type 2 dm have had it for years before it is ever diaganosed.  You may have had it and it lead to neuropathy but to know for sure if you neuropathy is consistent with dm.  Ask dr about nerve conduction studies or an emg.

Not much: Neither agent has much value in lupus. There are several alternatives that are actually effective but these supplements are not.

Complex question : Large differential diagnosis here. See a neurologist and rule out ms and other neurological, tumors,  toxic, metabolic, infectious causes .... Labs and imaging studies.

Yes: Sle is an autoimmune disorder that can cause mixed neuropathies in a minority of affected patients.  Antidepressant and anti-seizure medications are usually the mainstay of treatment.

While mild episodes of anxiety are common and do not usually require treatment, more severe forms can be chronic and debilitating. Symptoms of severe anxiety: insomnia, sweating, palpitations, tremors, and fatigue. See you pcp for the referral.

i have small fiber neuropathy. i had an isolated positive ana titer of 1:160 with a homogenous pattern. lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and sjogrens were negative. is it still possible i have an autoimmune disease causing small fiber neuropathy?

: Assuming you have well documented Small Fiber Neuropathy, confirmed on skin punch biopsy, there is a standard blood and urine testing protocol to uncover causation.  It is best that you work with an experienced neurologist at a nearby medical school to achieve thorough and successful management.  The most common cause in the USA is diabetes or pre-diabetes, but other causes may be considered.

i am having a mysterious neuropathy in my hands and feet with swollen tendons in my feet.  ive been tested for diabetes, liver function, kidney function, lupus and ra. all are negative or in the right range but my crp was 12. what should i do next?

Ask your Dr: If all these tests are normal but your symptoms persist you may need to see a neurologist to consider electromyography testing &amp; a few other things.  In many cases of neuropathy a definite cause is not found unfortunately, but medication can help symptoms

can lupus cause gastroparesis or vagal nerve damage?

Unusual: Gastroparesis is more typically seen when there is a autonomic neuropathy condition as can be seen in diabetes. Connective tissue disorders on occasion can also cause gastroparesis but those disorders are usually really to scleroderma conditions. In lupus you may see a complication called vasculitis in which there is inflammation of the blood vessels supplying a nerve. It would be unusual to see this affecting this nerve

how can i ease a lupus flare? im having horrible joint and nerve pain. went to the er and dilaudid didn't touch my pain.. run outta options..

Rheumatology: Would suggest contacting your rheumatologist. High doses steroids may be needed if this is indeed a lupus flare.
