i have a cold/flu, used a neti pot with tap water yesterday. i know now that i should have used distilled water. i live in dc, should i be concerned?

If tap water in: your area has not been tested and found to be clean - then you may wish to clean neti pot with distilled water as well.

Brain: eating amoebas are in fresh water lakes not usually in chlorinated filtered water  you may have a sinus infection stop using neti pot

Not advisable: Tapping or tft (thought field therapy) has more direct connections to anxiety, pain, weight loss and ptsd.  Narcissistic behavior or narcissistic personality disorder are best treated with psychoanalysis, psychodynamic approaches or interpersonal therapies that get at the root problems with superiority and diminished empathy.

More info needed: Memory testing is a complicated thing because there are many different types of memory to be assessed.  How would do you do with declarative verbal memory, list learning tests, implicit visual memory (Ray Osterreith Figure copy and recall)  and working memory. How does your short term recall hold up under conditions of distraction (eg., PASAT and Brown-Peterson Consonant Trigram Test ?

Feels good, do it: Short answer is yes. Mechanical percussion helps to break up and mobilize mucus in the chest and "sticky" spots to reduce pleuritic pain. It is best done "posturally" -- meaning with the bottom of your lungs higher than the top. Simple way is to build wedge of pillows and lie knees-bent, head-down while getting thumped on. When done well (not too hard), it also feels good, so why not?!

Unusual: Local anesthetic used prior to inserting the pleural cath/neeedle/ less likely to be painful. However it is an invasive procedure with inherent risks.
