Unlikely: An ectopic pregnancy would still produce the positive home pregnancy test.  If you develop pain then you should be evaluated but a negative pregnancy test with light bleeding is just a period (although abnormal in your case given the timing).

A negative blood betaHCG pregnancy test is a fairly reliable test and if yours is negative, it is an indication that you are not (or no longer)  pregnant and that your "missed periods" are not due to an ectopic pregnancy

Nope: Don't worry.  You can start worrying if you have pelvic pain.  Even if you do get pregnant, it is not a reason to worry.  You will need to be careful and alert for unusual symptoms, but don't waste too much energy worrying.  Worrying is bad for your health :).
