Assuming it is non : Viable, if u were my pt would give u Cytotec (misoprostol) and then in the evening or early am and then schdule you for an in office ultrasound and if it looks like all the tissue is not out then do an in office D&C as u may have very little tissue left after the cytotce and he cytotcec makes the procedure easier to do.

Not a natural way: Fortunately, America is beyond that (that was before modern medicine and before getting rid of laws against inducing miscarriage). Any woman who needs to induce a miscarriage (easier to say abortion), such as if her baby fetus has a genetic defect or other major birth defect, can get help from her Ob-Gyn doctor. The doctor has good, reliable ways to do this ("natural" is not in the picture).

Possibly: Some doctors will get an ultrasound after a miscarriage to confirm uterus is empty, but it's not required.  I tell my patients if they are worried i'm happy to scan them, but if their bleeding has ceased, they can also just wait until they have their next cycle typically in 3-6 weeks.  Hope that helps!
