Cannabis: Marijuana smoke contains mucosal irritants. Inhalation with marijuana is more prolonged & deeper than with tobacco.  If you have not used cannabis for a number of months - that should not be causing your throat to burn or your uvula to swell.   Anxiety can lead to throat symptoms.  Consider getting checked out by your physician.

Perhaps: Nausea and vomiting may be due to percocet but it may also be due to the underlying infection

Swollen uvula : This sounds allergic and should be treated with antihistamines to start.  Corticosteroids might be required due to swelling. If the swelling worsens or does not remit  quickly , i would seek medical attention quickly.  This could be a serious sign.

: Did you have a throat culture to check for strep?  Was your eardrum examined and, if so ,was it inflamed?. I think your jaw,ear discomfort could be referred from an inflamed throat or it could be an infected ear drum. Strep throat, &amp; ear drum infections,if present, require oral antibiotics. Discuss your ongoing symptoms with your physician who may want to examine you again.

Viral Syndrome: The group of symptoms you mentioned point to a viral infection. The early phase known as a viral prodrome can consist of body aches and a blah feeling. This can be followed by general cold symptoms, sore throat cough, a stuffy and or runny nose. Fluids and Acetaminophen or ibuprophen can help with the sore throat, and cough. These symptoms generally resolve in 2-5 days. If not better see your doc.

At this time I would suggest liquids and ice. Anti-inflammatories if you are not allergic. This type of swelling may come from food allergies, snoring or sleep apnea. Positioning yourself in a forward position may also help reduce the "blocked feeling" in your throat. If it worsens, off to the ER you go! Good luck.

Swollen uvula: If the uvula looks too large for the area it is in, or in other words if it totally fills the space between the tonsillar pillars, then it is too big.  If you are snoring a lot at nite it will get swollen due to the air turbulence around it when you are snoring.  Kinda like a flag in the wind. See an ear nose and throat doctor and her or she can check it out for you.  Good luck and feel better!
