Probably: At 38 weeks, you are getting checked weekly --and if fetal heart tones are normal, no bleeding, and no pain, then just observe till your next apt.

Make sure you inform OB about this at that time

Not abnormal: Gurgling is simply due to gases and juices within the intestine and these occur after eating and even when the stomach is empty. If there are no other associated symptoms, there is nothing to worry about. Avoiding carbonated beverages and fast foods may decrease the gurgling. Avoid swallowing excess air and don't smoke.

If "gas" is the issue, then consider hollow organs listed above.  Many people swallow air into the stomach when laughing, so burping it back up would be natural.  Air trapped in the stomach & splenic flexure will be expelled with laughing since the act contracts abdominal muscle.

Medical evaluation is recommended appropriate to the duration of your symptoms, associations (bleeding, weight loss, pain, vomiting), as well as your other medical co-morbidities. You sound concerned, &amp; should be evaluated for reassurance &amp; appropriate treatment if needed.
