Pretty common: The greenish color in stool is the breakdown product of the bile when it has not been in the gut long enough to go through a change to yellowish or brown. It is normal as is the  loose consistency. Some digested material will take on a darker tint than others & the germs in the gut will also impact the final product. I'd ignore the whole issue.

my bf has had intestinal problems since he was  12 and last year he was hospitalized with internal bleeding. it's been a year and he still has runny diareah all day never had solid stool.?

Inflammatory bowel: He may have inflammatory bowel disease which is not the same as irritable bowel syndrome. The latter is relatively benign compared to the former which can be divided into crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. DIARRHEA: You didn't mention his age, feeding: breast milk or formula, type. May be he is lactose intolerant. Mal-absorption syndrome, milk protein intolerance, glutein enteropathy are other causes. Talk to his pediatrician.

We'd probably want to know if you had any recent dietary or medication changes, recent travel, recent encounters with patients. Does any particular food or food type seem to trigger this? Do you have nausea with this? Any recent surgeries?

Bowel movements: Frequent bowel movements are not a sign of kidney problems, however if you have diarrhea and lose too much fluid through your stools, this can cause dehydration and lead to acute kidney injury.

Often dietary: Consumption of green leafy vegetables, green food coloring &amp; iron supplements can cause green stool. .Food may also be moving through your large intestine too quickly, which may be seen with diarrhea, &amp; so bile doesn't break down completely. I suggest going for a general medical exam to be on the safe side. Also, make certain you are eating well &amp; avoid too much alcohol &amp; all illicit drugs!

Infant stopping: It can be normal for breast fed babies to take up to a week to have a bowel movement.
As long as the stool is soft, the baby is gaining appropriate weight, feeding well, and does not have recurrent fevers, bloody or mucous stools then this is okay.

Fiber/fluids: More than likely, given your age, you suffer from chronic constipation or irritable bowel syndrome-constipation predominant.  I would start by increasing your daily fiber intake to 30 grams per day ( ie fiber one cereal) and drink 2 l of non-caffeinated beverage daily.  A visit to a gastroenterologist for an evaluation  is warranted if that doesn't do the trick.
